Take part in May measurement Month. May Measurement Month (MMM) enables people of all ages to get checked in the world’s largest FREE blood pressure screening programme. It’s just a little squeeze to make sure you are part of #TheBigSqueeze.

As a part of the global campaign called May Measurement Month (MMM), researchers from the University of Cambridge at Addenbrooke’s Hospital are providing a free blood pressure check at The Netherhall School on Tuesday, the 21st of May from 4:30 pm – 6 pm. You will have a chance to get your blood pressure measured and receive advice on blood pressure management and a healthy lifestyle.

May Measurement Month aims to raise awareness about the importance of high blood pressure by helping people get their blood pressure checked, completely for free, around the world. MMM has screened nearly 5 million people in 100 countries and found almost 1 million people with untreated hypertension so far.

Even with increased threats to public health this last year, raised blood pressure remains the biggest single contributing risk factor for global death and the worldwide burden of disease. We want May Measurement Month to increase public understanding, and help save lives that need not be lost.’

– Professor Neil Poulter, Former ISH President (2016 -2018), and Chief Investigator of MMM
